This is a large piece made of slabs. It took five old pillows, four comforters, and lots of newspaper to prop it up while it dried as a draped form. It stood in my studio as greenware for months before I had the nerve to call it finished—the way it always had been. A light soda spray really set it off beautifully. The three little torsos are meant to be figures in the rolling sea of time/space.
